Active presence of SHIVA members at ESOC 2022!

The 8th European Stroke Organisation Conference took place from 4 – 6 May 2022 at Lyon.
Prof. Stéphanie Debette presented how stroke genetics contributes to drug discovery and risk prediction across ancestries:

• Stroke genetic risk loci has been discovered in >200.000 stroke patients across 5 ancestries
• Several potential targets for therapy are revealed
• Improved ischemic stroke risk prediction using polygenic scores in Europeans, and for the first time East-Asians, and African ancestry participants

Dr. Marie-Gabrielle Duperron also moderated the session on perivascular spaces with Dr Daniel Bos.
