The new Zeiss PLEX® Elite 9000 Swept Source – Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (SS-OCT-A) machine was put into operation in the ophthalmology department of Bordeaux University Hospital.
This state-of-the-art technology will be used in the SHIVA project cohorts to implement screening and stratification of covert cerebral small vessel disease (cSVD) based on high-resolution retinal microvascular biomarkers.
