Bordeaux &#8211; Inserm) &#8211; of the University of Bordeaux, one of the leading population health research centers in France (nearly 500 staff members).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this position, you will join the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bordeaux-population-health.center\/fr\/les-equipes\/eleanor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ELEANOR team<\/a>, one of the BPH&rsquo;s 10 research teams. This team conducts research in the following areas of expertise: Molecular epidemiology and exposome of vascular\/cerebral disorders<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this context, <strong>we are recruiting two post-doctoral researchers in genetic epidemiology with a experience in biostatistics<\/strong> (or bioinformatics) to work on the SHIVA research project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5762df3c2527ec76172d47bfc029b69b\"><strong>Main activities :<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your main mission is twofold:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The implementation of association analyses between molecular biomarkers and phenotypes linked to small cerebral vessel disease,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And the development of methodologies for integrating multi-omics data to identify new molecular phenotypes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More specifically, your activities will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&#8211; Data analysis<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>ou will participate in the bioinformatics\/statistical pre-processing of multi-omics data;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will conduct statistical analysis of multi-omics data from the SHIVA project cohorts, and in the context of meta-analyses of other international cohorts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will develop computer programs dedicated to the analysis of (gen)omic data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&#8211; Integration of results and promotion of research<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You study the biological consistency of statistical results using bioinformatics tools and various databases;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You participate in the promotion of results (constitution, organization, management, visualization), notably by writing scientific articles (high-level scientific journals).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&#8211; Supervision<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You will participate in the training and supervision of trainees and PhD students in the use of multi-omics data analysis software;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will communicate with the various project partners (national and international), in particular within the CHARGE, ISGC and BRIDGET consortia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be working on a high-performance computing server and will have access to multiple molecular data generated by large-scale cohorts that also include epidemiological and brain imaging data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a0c5bd0dbaeecb43e7127e88e2c725a2\"><strong>Your skills:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Holder of a PhD in genetic epidemiology, genetic statistics, bioinformatics or equivalent, you have experience in the statistical and bioinformatics analysis of genomic data (and associated methodologies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You are fluent in English (written, spoken and read) and have good communication skills (written and oral);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are familiar with different programming languages (eg R, Python, C, C++, Perl), different computing environments (LINUX, Windows), and the use of computer clusters\/grids.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You know how to manage, organize and manipulate large-scale (genomic) data, combining the right tools for the right problems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are familiar with common statistical genetics and bioinformatics tools (e.g. FUSION, GATK, GSEA, GWAMA, LDPRED, MAGMA, Metal, Plink, Regenie, PRScs, R, Regar);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are able to carry out studies and analyses based on omics data and implement integrated multi-omics analysis strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-81dec175483f81611fff8e144b9d085d\"><strong>More information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By joining the Bordeaux Population Health Center, you will work in the ELEANOR team under the direct supervision of David-Alexandre Tregou\u00ebt and St\u00e9phanie Debette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will interact closely with other teams at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bordeaux-population-health.center\/\">BPH research center<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/vbhi-institute.org\/en\/\">IHU VHI<\/a> and the SHIVA project in Bordeaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based in Bordeaux \u2013 access by tramway line A (stop \u00ab Hopital Pellegrin \u00bb) buses, bike.
